When life gives you lemons…

…Do whatever the heck makes you happy with them. End of story.

Life is truly a choice. You can choose to live and be happy with what God has provided for you; or you can be ungrateful and unhappy. What are you?

I have not been happy lately. I’m not going to sugar coat it. I’ve been angry, sad, confused, etc. My grandfather keeps getting more and more ill, and it is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to witness and live through. Cancer is such an ugly disease. I wish it never existed. In fact, it’s made me so beyond bitter, that I’ve been taking all of my anger out on my poor boyfriend. Luckily for me, however, my boyfriend is the most understanding man that I have ever met in my life. He has been here for me for two and a half years and has helped me with every curve ball that life has thrown my way.

You see, my grandfather has shown me the most undying love by taking such wonderful care of my mom and my grandmother. Because of this, my father’s love for my mother and our family, and my other grandfather’s love for my grandmother and children, I have been taught that true love really does exists, and I mustn’t ever settle. Love is the most beautiful thing in the world if you allow it to be.

David, if you’re reading this, I love you.
I’m actually very much in love with you, and nothing in this world could ever change that. Thank you, from the depths of my soul, for everything you have done for me. I hope that we continue to have a love as deep and indescribable as my grandfather’s and my daddy have shown me.

What do I do when life gives me lemons?
I freaking make lemonade because lemonade is my favorite.

I am going to choose to focus on everything positive in my life. I have so much to be grateful for. Although my papa is sick and not in his right mind, he is STILL the best papa in the world. His wife is so amazing and has been an even more amazing granny to me. My other grandparents are such a blessing and I couldn’t be more grateful to be their granddaughter. My parents and brother are my heart and soul. We are a small family, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I love them so much. My boyfriend is beyond incredible, along with his family. His sister is my best friend, I love his other sisters dearly, and his parents are extremely loving and supportive. I’m turning my career into my passion. I have the most adorable pets in the world. I AM A LOVER AND FOLLOWER OF JESUS CHRIST AND COULDN’T BE MORE PROUD! And so much more. So, yeah, I’m going to make some darn lemonade. I’ll probably dance with it, too.

This is my papa bear! My fighter and my hero.

This is my boyfriend’s sister and my best friend, Stephanie. She’s the love of my life.

This is my boyfriend, David. My love. He’s pretty much my family now.

These are my parents. They’re my rocks. They taught me Jesus, they taught me patience… They taught me everything I know. I love them more and more daily.

This is my big brother, Trevor. He literally couldn’t ever make me love him less. He’s my role model and best friend.

As far as hair goes, let’s see what I’ve been doing lately, yeah?

Befores and afters on my big brother! I’m not going to lie, men’s cuts aren’t my favorite, but I always love the result. Men are just so picky! Oh, well. More practice for me!

Color and style on my neighbor and friend, Kelsey Diane! I am so crazy for her red hair!

Before and after on my mommyloves. Just some highlights! I always love the way it turns out.

Don’t hesitate to contact me to get your hair done! I am so passionate about what I do and I will never let you leave unsatisfied! Email me at jess_schmidt24@icloud.com for appointment details.
